MUSCAT: With the strategic support of Zubair Small Enterprises Centre (Zubair SEC), its member Ibrahim Hamad Sulaiman Al Khulaifeen has restructured and expanded his business model to launch a local-flavoured sauce manufacturing unit.

Ibrahim, founder of BBQ Bro’s (Al Khulaifeen Modern Trading Enterprises) is the winner of the fifth edition of the Direct Support Programme 2018 organised by Zubair SEC.

With the restructuring plan, Ibrahim will now get into manufacturing and is set to launch the Mamas Sauce project. The new production unit, Mamas Sauce, will focus on manufacturing of local-flavoured sauces which will be launched in the market by the beginning of next year. The initial plan is to launch three to five local-flavoured sauces.

Ibrahim received comprehensive advisory and guidance from the experts at Zubair SEC in the restructuring and expanding efforts of his company.

Adel Hubeishi, senior adviser, Zubair SEC said, “We helped him design the new production line and are in the process of helping him source the required machinery in collaboration with a local company that specialises in food production.” He added, “We are happy that after running his BBQ Bros a burger outlet successfully Ibrahim has got into manufacturing. Initially he created several sauces; following this we helped him further develop these sauces. After a through market research we developed the idea of creating a manufacturing unit for these sauces. After following due procedures of lab and food testing, he will be launching three to five flavours by early next year. We hope to set the production unit by the end of this year.”

Adel further explained, “We encouraged him to expand on this line because there are no local brands that focus on home-grown flavours of sauce that appeal to the palate of people here. I am sure that the restructuring will mark the beginning of a successful new chapter in the growth of Ibrahim’s business journey. We are very happy to see that his company has been taking steady steps of progress and growth and are sure that getting into manufacturing will prove to be fruitful.” He added, “Ibrahim has displayed tremendous dedication and commitment towards the growth of his business. He has been very receptive to our advice and guidance.”

Thanking the experts, Ibrahim said, “We have worked with Zubair SEC to develop the idea of the project to create local products that can compete in regional markets. With the help of specialists from Zubair SEC, we have reinvigorated our brand to reflect who we are today and where we see ourselves in the future. I am thankful for the support and guidance from Zubair SEC.”
