Oman Social Lounge meeting held

MUSCAT: Oman Social Lounge (OSL) is a Facebook group created to establish a platform for ladies living in Oman. It is one of the most active group in Muscat, that organises events every month with a motive to promote a close-knit community of likeminded women in the city. OSL was created by a group of friends on 21st August 2015. Now they are more than 4,000 members.

Admin Nabeela Aslam Farshori says, “We believe in quality over quantity, therefore we scrutinise each account that comes for approvals. We are 5 admins, Devina Sharma, Khadija Khan, Meenu Manzer, Shahdab Zaheer and me, Nabeela Aslam Farshori.

“We work together in synergy to organise a creative event to entertain members and give them loads of fun memories. Our friendship makes it easier to come up with ideas. I think friends can be the best partners. There have been many virtual problems solving and helping each other through Facebook. We have organised more than 20 events in the last 4 years. Breast cancer awareness programmes, Zumba meetup, health and dietician sessions for free, and many more”

“Our motto is live love and laugh. Thus we only allow positive vibes,” said Devina Sharma, one of the admin.

Another admin Meenu said, “We as housewives know exactly how it feels to be bored and being busy in daily hectic routine. Thus, we meet and have fun.”

Khadija said, “It feels good when I see that OSL has turned into a gathering place for Muscat based ladies. We will keep rolling.”
