Omani students in Europe asked to be cautious in night

In a note, the Cultural Attaché in London requested Omani students not to go out late at night, and to avoid walking along side streets, lanes and alleyways, unless they did so in groups

MUSCAT: Oman’s Cultural Attaché at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the United Kingdom called on Omani students and those on scholarshi­ps in London and European countries to be cautious during the upcoming holidays.

In a note, the Cultural Attaché in London requested Omani students that they should not go out late at night, and to avoid walking along side streets and lanes, unless they did so in groups.

The Attaché went on to inform Omani students in the United Kingdom, “Dear students, we would like to inform you that the Cultural Attaché will be on official leave from December 23, 2019 to

January 3, 2020.” “To all of our students in the United Kingdom and other European countries, please pay attention to your identifica­tion documents, your passport, residency cards, and bank cards and keep them at a safe place, whether you intend to travel or remain in the country that is awarding you your scholarshi­p during the upcoming vacation period,” added the Attaché.

“In an emergency situation, we would like to remind you to contact the local authoritie­s immediatel­y, and inform them about any danger you feel. During this period, in case you need help or have an emergency, please contact us on Twitter. God bless you and may he grant you success and recognitio­n,” the Cultural Attaché said.

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Interior announced that the registrati­on in the electoral register for the third term of Municipal Councils’ elections will start on Sunday. Citizens who are not previously registered in the electoral register to submit their applicatio­ns .
