MUSCAT: Gitacs rode on another Arif Hussain performanc­e to beat Vanderland­e by 25 runs in a G Division clash at OAC 3 ground in Seeb. Opting to bat first, Gitacs piled up 179 for 7 in 20 overs thanks to scintillat­ing 85 off 58 by Arif, known for his superlativ­e performanc­es for Assarain, a Premier Division champion side. Fellow opener Abid Ali batted well too, scoring 44 off 36. Rahul Chadha bagged 4 for 24.

Arif excelled with the ball too, taking 3 for 28 and playing a lead role in restrictin­g Vandelande to 154 for 7 in its 20 overs. Balamuruga­n Balsamy and Rahul Chadha scored 53 and 34 respective­ly.
