Saham branch customer becomes OMR100,000 winner in Ahli Islamic draw

MUSCAT: In a much-anticipate­d quarterly draw, Ahli Islamic announced the winner of its Qitaf prize scheme recently in a digital ceremony held at Ahli Islamic branch in Ghubra. The lucky winner from Saham branch walked away with a whopping OMR100,000.

Qitaf, which is based on the Islamic Mudaraba principle, offers customers the opportunit­y to invest their capital in profitable assets, while giving them a chance to qualify for cash prizes, through a draw system, subject to a criterion set by the bank.

Emphasisin­g the worth of Qitaf – Yousuf Al Rawahi – DGM, Head of Ahli Islamic stated, “The Qitaf account plays a significan­t role in encouragin­g our customers to adopt a savings culture. Qitaf account holders are eligible to participat­e in the draws if they maintain an average minimum balance of OMR100. However, the minimum eligibilit­y criteria for the quarterly draw are OMR1,000. Offering unique savings opportunit­ies with customer convenienc­e, Qitaf ’s prime objective is to instil a culture of savings among its customers and reward them for their prudence.

Qitaf ’s weekly prize draws offer guaranteed cash prizes for two winners from each branch of Ahli Islamic; with each winner being rewarded with OMR250.

The monthly draws will be held in eight selected months of the year for a cash prize of OMR20,000 for each of the eight winners throughout the network of branches spread across the Sultanate. The quarterly draws, offer prize money of OMR100,000 each quarter, to one winner across the bank’s branch network. Additional­ly, a special prize draw will be held to mark the 50th National Day, rewarding 50 winners with OMR2,000 each.
