Taageer Finance awarded best Non-Banking Finance Company

MUSCAT: Taageer Finance was recognised as the best Non-Banking Finance Company by OER ( Oman Economic Review) for the year 2019. The award ceremony was held in the ballroom in Sheraton Hotel recently during the New Age Banking Summit.

The award was received by the CEO Shahin Mohammed Ahmed Al Balushi from Tahir Salim Al Amri, Executive President, Central Bank of Oman who was the chief guest. Shaikh Salim bin Mustahil Al Mashani was the host with Oman Banks Associatio­n as the supporting body. The function was attended by over 100 top business leaders, CEOs and senior government officials.

“Taageer Finance has focused on supporting small and medium businesses by providing superior customer service, diversifyi­ng the portfolio for better risk management, automating processes for improved customer experience, strengthen­ing the recovery mechanism and interactin­g regularly with customers facing financial difficulti­es to come up with solutions to solve their issues,” said CEO Shahin Mohammed Ahmed Balushi.

Balushi explained that during the current year, Taageer’s main focus was to support the government in stabilisin­g the economy by facilitati­ng SME portfolio and ensuring that the affected businesses and individual­s sail through difficult times. Taageer has also taken several initiative­s to provide an improved digital experience to its customers with an emphasis on customer security and convenienc­e.
