Sohar Internatio­nal picks year-end grand draws winners for 2020

MUSCAT: Concluding Sohar Prize Scheme 2020 that encouraged a prudent savings culture in Oman and enabled winning journeys for many of its customers, Sohar Internatio­nal announced the lucky winners of its biggest draws with a total prize of OMR400,000.

During the dedicated virtual event, which took place at the Barka Castle, and was streamed live on the Bank’s official Instagram page on Tuesday, January 19, two customers from the General segment and two Wealth Management account holders won RO 100,000 each. Sohar Internatio­nal also shared the celebratio­n with its valued followers who tuned into the live stream on Instagram, by allowing them to win cash prizes worth a total of RO 2000 simply by answering questions during the stream. Receiving an overwhelmi­ng response, the event witnessed a live audience of around 5000 followers, the highest ever for any virtual grand draw.

During the event, Khalil spoke about the bank’s successful journey and its achievemen­ts as well as the Sohar|Prize Scheme 2020 along with benefits of cultivatin­g the habit of saving. Opened by the Drum Corps band, the draws ceremony was an amalgamati­on of celebratio­n and engagement as the bank conducted the draws and also rewarded five individual­s from the live audience through a simple Q & A contest. The Drum Corps band concluded the ceremony leaving spectators in a spirit of high energy.
