MUSCAT: Stylish and comfortable yet affordable, the redesigned and updated 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage five-door hatchback and Attrage four-door sedan are now available from General Automotive Company (GAC), the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Oman, with EMI as low as OMR55 and OMR 57 respectively. This value is inclusive of VAT and a six years/unlimited kilometres warranty and roadside assistance.

Commenting on the Mirage and Attrage, Zuwaina Al Azri, Communication Manager, said, “Despite being entry-level models to the Mitsubishi family, the Mirage and Attrage offer class-leading comfort, fuel efficiency, and reliability. Coupled with their compact size, lightweight, and ample power, they are the perfect vehicles for city commutes. Moreover, as a result of their updated styling and newly added features, these models now offer even greater value for money.”

For the 2021 model year, both the Mirage and Attrage feature revised front and rear styling. Out front, the vehicles incorporate Mitsubishi’s latest Dynamic Shield grille design. This revised front bumper design, in particular, gives both cars a dose of sportiness to go with its efficiency message. These improvements provide the Mirage and Attrage with a more refined, sharper look while visually tying the vehicles to Mitsubishi’s current design language.

On the inside, both models feature comfortable cloth seating and high-quality materials throughout the cabin, together with the best levels of interior room and cargo storage space available in their class. For 2021, Mitsubishi is also introducing its 7-inch Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA) System in the Highline versions of the Mirage and Attrage.

Both models retain the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder DOHC engine, featuring the latest version of Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control (MIVEC), producing 78 horsepower and 100 Nm of torque; ample power for comfortable dayto-day driving.

The engine was built with efficiency at its core and teamed with Mitsubishi’s INVECS-III continuously variable transmission, offers class-leading fuel economy of just 4.7l/100km.

Both models also come equipped with a wide array of safety features. These include a dual front Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist, hill start assist, and Active Stability Control (ASC). Additional protection is provided to the vehicle’s occupants by Mitsubishi Motors’ patented hi-tech Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) impactabsorbing safety cell technology.
