Oman Cables appoints Omani profession­als at top level of organisati­on

MUSCAT: Oman Cables Industry continues to enhance its executive team.

While thanking Ramon Pallares for his great efforts and relevant achievemen­ts as Chief Operating Officer of Oman Cables in the past years and congratula­ting him for the new prestigiou­s assignment as COO of the South Europe Region in worldwide leader Prysmian Group, Oman Cables announced the appointmen­t of the new chief operating officer and the new plant director, forming a strong addition in the company’s strategic growth.

Muhannad Al Lawati will be entrusted as Chief Operating Officer and will be responsibl­e for overseeing the company’s overall operations, with a focus on the company’s operationa­l strategy. He has strong knowledge of the many dimensions of cable manufactur­ing and is a board member at the Oman Manufactur­ers Associatio­n. Muhannad is a Mechanical & Manufactur­ing Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in the cables business.

Mohammed Al Riyami will be entrusted with the role of Plant Director and will be reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer with the responsibi­lity of contributi­ng to and carrying out production strategy and increasing efficiency. Mohammed is an Industrial & Manufactur­ing Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in the Cable business. He started his career as a trainee Process Engineer at Oman Cables 11 years ago and gained his experience working on the factory floor and building technical knowledge on the equipment.

The newly appointed executives are strong followers of LEAN manufactur­ing & continuous improvemen­t always trying to implement the best practices to meet the highest levels of the organisati­on standards for safety, quality and operationa­l effectiven­ess at Oman Cables.
