All four models in the Genesis portfolio -- G70, G80, GV70 and GV80 – have been well-received in Oman. Defined by their symbolic ‘Two Lines’ theme, they incorporate Genesis’ ‘Athletic Elegance’ design philosophy, espousing a perfect balance between two opposing characteristics: athleticism and elegance. Not surprisingly, the Genesis brand has garnered an array of international awards over the past years for design excellence, quality and safety. At the world-renowned iF Design Award 2022 competition held in Seoul in April, Genesis won four coveted honours – three for Product Design and one for Interior Architecture. The awards, organised by German-based International Forum Design GmbH, were a testament to the passion, dedication and creative collaboration of the brand’s design team.
Safety is also synonymous with the brand, as attested by the growing number of awards conferred upon Genesis in recent years. Most notably, the California-based Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) announced in February this year that all 2022 model year Genesis vehicles have been designated as TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) for 2022 (for G70 built after June 2021). This marks the fourth year in a row that the entire Genesis lineup of eligible vehicles has earned top honours.
Indeed, all Genesis models are equipped with a comprehensive suite of state-of-the-art driver assistance and safety technologies, including Forward CollisionAvoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision- Avoidance Assist and more. Each vehicle in the Genesis line-up offers surefooted handling, thanks to the rigid chassis construction that ensures firm stability even under the most challenging driving conditions.
Sustainability in luxury design is also an integral part of Genesis’ future vision. This is exemplified by the Genesis X Speedium Coupe – a concept car that heralds Genesis’ future as a true luxury electric vehicle brand. Unveiled in New York City in April this year, the concept car reflects Genesis’ principle of reductive design, or “less is more”, which is encapsulated in its restrained elegance, clean lines, and subtle curves. The X Speedium Coupe challenges the status quo of a defined car type with its EV face that symbolizes Genesis’ transformation towards becoming an all-electric car brand with a sixmodel lineup by 2030.
For the brand’s growing legion of enthusiasts, driving a Genesis also means enjoying a worry-free ownership experience. Vehicles across the line-up are covered by a 5-year/ unlimited mileage warranty, in addition to 5 years/100,000 km free service. Customers are also eligible for free roadside assistance for five years and access to Genesis’ signature concierge services for two years.
