Pact signed to exchange expertise and services in administrative fields
The Ministry of Labour signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with OQ, a global integrated energy group, to devise a three-year plan for the exchange of expertise and services in administrative fields.
The MoU explores solutions for the development of human resources. It was signed by Sayyid Salim Musallam Al Busaidi, Labour Ministry’s Undersecretary for Human Resources Development and Ashraf Hamad Al Ma’amari, CEO of Human Resources, Technology and Work Culture at OQ group.
The MoU provides for benefiting OQ’s employees to share their experiences and offer their services to the Ministry of Labour in an attempt to provide the services required by the ministry. Additionally, OQ’s employees will contribute to developing national competencies and study the possibility of training the MOL’s employees by utilising the development and training programmes for human capital at OQ Group. Furthermore, they will share their experiences in personal empowerment (coaching), occupational competencies (The National Framework for Occupational Competencies), in addition to job succession and replacement (Human resources development system) and work environment development.
Al Busaidi commended the efforts exerted by OQ to develop national capacities and their contributions to educational, training and qualification programmes. He also praised their assistance in supporting the government efforts through the various initiatives that contribute to empowering some entities by implementing their programs and plans aiming at achieving the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
Al Busaidi said, “The MoU signed with the Ministry of Labour contributes to elevating the performance of administrative departments and benefiting from the national competencies at OQ. It will help in implementing some training and qualification programmes to enable our employees to raise their capabilities and occupational skills in an attempt to meet our future aspirations.”
Ashraf Al-Mamari expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the MOL in human resources development to achieve the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 and promote cooperation between the public and private sectors with regard to developing national competencies in various fields.
He stressed that the signing of this MoU aims to develop this cooperation in a practical way that contributes to creating plans and programmes to achieve the aspirations of the two sides.
