HIS MAJESTY RECEIVES GUARD OF HONOUR
TEHRAN: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Sunday arrived in the Islamic Republic of Iran on a two-day official visit. An official reception ceremony was held in honour of His Majesty the Sultan. Upon the arrival of His Majesty the Sultan’s motorcade at the presidential building of Saadabad Palace in Tehran, Dr. Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran, headed the welcoming party. The Iranian President wished His Majesty the Sultan and his accompanying delegation a happy stay.
Then, Dr. Ebrahim Raisi accompanied His Majesty the Sultan to the dais of honour, where the Omani Royal Anthem and the Iranian national anthem were played. After that, His Majesty the Sultan, accompanied by the Iranian President, inspected the guard of honour, which saluted His Majesty the Sultan.
After that, the two leaders headed to the reception building, where His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with senior members of the welcoming party, from the Iranian side, who were: Dr. Hossein Amirabdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ehsan Khandozi, Minister of Economic and Financial Affairs (Head of the Mission of Honour), Brigadier Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani, Minister of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics, Javad Owji, Minister of Oil, Mehrdad Bazrpash, Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Gholam-Hossein Esmaeili, Head of the President’s Office, Mahdi Niazi, ActingMinister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Mohammad-Reza Farzin, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Mohammed Jamshidi, Deputy for Political Affairs at the President’s Office, Ali Bagheri,Deputy Minister for Political Affairsof the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mehdi Safari, Deputy Minister for Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ali Najafi Khoshroudi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Sultanate of Oman.
Then, Dr. Ebrahim Raisi, shook hands with members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan.
Earlier, when His Majesty the Sultan arrived at Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran, he was received by: Mohammed Mokhber, First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ehsan Khandozi, Minister of Economic and Financial Affairs (Head of the Mission of Honour), Ali Najafi Khoshroudi, Ambassador of Iran to Oman, Ibrahim bin Ahmed Al Mu’aini, Ambassador of Oman to Iran, several high-ranking Iranian officials and several members of Oman’s Embassy at Iran.
