Khedmah signs pact for donation collection

Khedmah signed an agreement with Oman Charitable Organisation to amplify donation drive

Reaffirming its commitment to the advancement of local communities, and supporting charitable endeavours, as part of its corporate social responsibility, Oman Investment and Finance Company OIFC (Khedmah) has signed an agreement with the Oman Charitable Organisation, to collect donations through the Khedmah app and the company’s electronic channels.

The agreement was signed by Mohammed bin Hamoud Al Dhahli,

the CEO of the Oman Charitable Organisation, and Said Ahmed Safrar, the CEO of Oman Investment and Finance Company.

This strategic agreement aims to streamline the donation process, and to enhance Oman Charitable Organization’s ability to engage with donors interested in supporting its activities and programs. Furthermore, this collaboration underscores OIFC’s active support for initiatives that aim to propel societal development and welfare. As part of the agreement,

Khedmah will host a section in its app, website, and Kiosks, allowing customers to donate to the organisation in support of their preferred activities and programmes.

During the signing ceremony, OIFC (Khedmah) also presented its annual financial contribution earmarked for the Organization, in accordance with the agreement inked between the two entities. As outlined in this agreement, the organisation disburses this contribution towards its charitable endeavours, adhering to pre-determined criteria, which include providing assistance to underprivileged families in the Sultanate, and addressing emergency cases requiring support.

Commenting on the occasion, Said Ahmed Safrar, the CEO of OIFC (Khedmah), stated, “We are pleased to sign this agreement with the Oman Charitable Organization, as we consistently strive to establish fruitful collaborations with various charitable institutions. Our aim is to bolster local communities and drive efforts towards sustainable economic and social development. The signing of this significant agreement will facilitate the collection of donations for the benefit of the organisation through the Khedmah app in a smooth and efficient manner. Furthermore, the agreement embodies the values of generosity, cooperation, and compassion that are ingrained in our company culture, and it serves as an appreciation for the significant efforts exerted by the Organization in supporting the community and providing necessary assistance to those in need.”
