Glinks International Muscat focuses on women empowerment

Glinks International Muscat branch, the first of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman, with an all-women staff, is completely committed to empowering women in the workplace.

Glinks is a globally acclaimed leading overseas education consultant that has been providing expert guidance to students and helping them choose their desired programmes at renowned colleges and universities abroad.

Glinks International started its journey in 2010 with one branch in Dubai and today has branches spread across nations including the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and India.

In January 2023 Rita Samuel was appointed branch head at Glinks International Muscat.

‘’I met with my management and co-workers in August 2023, for an annual day get-together in Dubai. And it was there that I met Kiran Kaur, Business Head, Acquisitions, and was astounded by her professionalism with a dash of levity. I saw myself in her. It was then that she determined that the Muscat branch would focus on women’s empowerment. Rita has been in Oman since 1996 and has served as a Post Graduate Centre Manager at three major universities namely Gulf College University, Majan University, and Caledonian College of Engineering.

In her spare time, Rita was interested in social welfare, particularly assisting the disadvantaged expat population in Oman as well as citizens. She has reached out to people of all genders, religions, and backgrounds and during this voyage, she became aware of the difficulties that women experience when working in corporations. With 25 years of experience working in universities and corporations, Rita understood the value of building and inclusive atmosphere and she then dedicated to providing equal chances for women of all nationalities.

“We are honoured to be recognised as a pioneer in encouraging women’s empowerment and are committed to continuing to provide opportunities for women to excel in their jobs,” Rita said.
