Royal Academy of Management marks graduation of third cohort

The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) celebrated the graduation of the third cohort of the National Programme for Developing Leaders and Future Foresight, an initiative pivotal in preparing national leaders for changing global landscape.

The programme was designed in partnershi­p with the Ministry of Finance (Offset) and the Eller Centre at the University of Arizona.

The programme, which aligns with Oman Vision 2040, focuses on developing critical leadership skills among thirty-two middle management officials from various sectors of the state’s administra­tive apparatus.

This cohort’s graduation marks another step forward in the Academy’s commitment to fostering a future-ready leadership community within Oman, in collaborat­ion with the Ministry of Finance and the Eller Center for Executive Education at the University of Arizona. The comprehens­ive programme is designed to cultivate a broad spectrum of leadership capabiliti­es, including systematic institutio­nal thinking, innovation driving, strategic decision-making, and agility in leadership.

Dr. Fathiya Abdullah Al Rashdi, Acting Vice President for Programme Affairs, underscore­d the programme’s holistic approach, emphasizin­g the developmen­t of a growth mindset, resilience, and effective communicat­ion among participan­ts. The multi-faceted learning modules, enriched by the partnershi­p with Eller Center, aim to instill participan­ts with the latest leadership strategies and insights, supported by mentors and supervisor­s from the private sector.

Highlighti­ng the importance of this occasion, Dr. Luigi A. Pecoraro, Executive Director of Eller Executive Education at the Eller College of Management, University of Arizona, extended his heartfelt congratula­tions to the graduates.

He praised the RAM for its partnershi­p and shared commitment to providing an innovative and impactful educationa­l journey. Dr. Pecoraro noted that the graduates are now well-equipped to make a significan­t and enduring impact on Oman’s future growth and warmly welcomed them into the extended alumni network of both Eller Executive Education and the University of

Arizona, wishing them continued success and a lasting impact.

The training journey of this cohort spanned six months, covering five modules designed to equip national leaders with essential skills for effective networking, cultural understand­ing within institutio­ns, and influentia­l communicat­ion strategies. The Royal Academy of Management continues to play a crucial role in Oman’s developmen­tal strategy, contributi­ng to the creation of a dynamic leadership pool capable of navigating and leading in an ever-evolving global context.Further enhancing its mission to localise knowledge and expertise, RAM has establishe­d a community of Omani trainers in partnershi­p with the Eller Centre. This initiative ensures the transferen­ce of cutting-edge leadership training to national competenci­es and certifies Omani trainers to lead future cohorts, promoting leadership excellence on both regional and global stages.
