Alizz Islamic Bank hosts delegation from organisati­on of Muslim scholars in Sri Lanka

Alizz Islamic Bank recently hosted a delegation from the organisati­on of Muslim scholars in Sri Lanka who were on a visit to the Sultanate of Oman on the invitation of the Awqaf and Religious Affairs Ministry.

The delegation lead by Sheikh Mufti Mohamed Ibrahim Mohammed Rizwe, chairman of All Ceylon

Jamiyyathu­l Ulema - Sri Lanka was received by senior officials of the bank headed by the Chief Operating Officer, Asaad Al Kharusi. During the visit growth and developmen­t of Islamic banking in both countries were discussed as well as current developmen­ts. In addition promotion of Islamic values as a lifestyle was also highlighte­d.

All Ceylon Jamiyyathu­l Ulama (ACJU) is the supreme body of Islamic theologian in Sri Lanka. The objectives of the ACJU are to serve the Muslim Community and the nation. At present ACJU has 163 branches in 24 districts in Sri Lanka and over 8,000 scholars as subscribed members.
