Govt committed to bringing FATA at par with other areas, says Mamnoon

President Mamnoon Hussain has said that the government is committed to bringing Federally Administered Tribal Areas at par with other regions of the country. He made these remarks while chairing a presentation on FATA reforms in Islamabad on Tuesday. The president said that introduction of comprehensive reforms in FATA would be instrumental in meeting longstanding demands of the people of the region. Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Minister for Law Zahid Hamid, Minister for States and Frontier Regions Lt Gen (r) Abdul Qadir Baloch, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and National Security Adviser Lt Gen (r) Nasser Khan Janjua were also present on the occasion.
