Karachi deserves better

-

THE incident that caused paramilitary forces to take extra steps against MQM is not something that is against the norm and should be the case with anyone having any such slogans against Pakistan. MQM workers and many MQM politicians have already given their ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and ‘Pakistan first’ slogan in return which is what the real case is with every Urdu speaking Karachities living in the city. But at the same time crushing MQM to have no voice of this city will be dangerous act. Urdu speaking middle class community needs better treatment by giving them what they deserve. They deserve for the Quota system to end in Sindh and for Local Body to gain and use full authority to build and maintain this great city to the next level where everyone feel proud to be living in peace and prosperity. Their true representation in assemblies with no power over anything has given nothing but more deprivation overall to this community. This frustration is increasing among the community each passing day and could only create problem later if not addressed democratically and with honest intentions and actions.

I salute every step Army Chief has taken so far to root out all militancy and terrorism in the country but a lot needs done in this area too to win hearts of people living in this city. The government needs to remember the city which serves the whole country with its revenues. SYED FARHAN QADRI Karachi
