Khan terms Raiwand march ‘momentous day’ in country’s history
PTI chief Imran Khan predicted that Raiwind march would be a ‘momentous day’ in the history of the country amid warning that any interference by the government would have serious repercussions.
PAKISTAN Tehreek-eInsaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan predicted Raiwind march would be a ‘momentous day’ in the history of the country amid warning that any interference by the government would have serious repercussions. “A massive public would start marching towards Raiwind on September 30 to build maximum pressure on the PML-N-led government to probe the Panama Papers imbroglio forthwith,” Imran Khan expressed these remarks while speaking to media persons outside his Bani Gala residence on Monday.
PTI chairman made it clear that the Raiwind march would be a peaceful protest and any reaction by the government to sabotage the peaceful demonstration would lead to a serious confrontation. “It has come to my knowledge that police are unnecessarily harassing PTI’s workers in Lahore,” he added.
Imran Khan alleged that efforts afoot to create hurdles in PTI Raiwind march against which the party has already moved the Lahore High Court (LHC).
Khan predicted that an unprecedented crowd would be gathered from across the country in Raiwind; hence he informed the rulers of serious repercussions if anti-government Raiwind march is impeded.
“Staging peaceful protest is our constitutional and democratic right, as we are left with no option but to protest because departments refuse to ensure justice,” he reiterated.
He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is heading the corrupt mafia, so PTI would not sit in peace until they get rid the country of crooked and corrupt elements.
He said that the burial of Panama Leaks matter will also bury the corruption issue.
