Nisar exhorts UN to take notice of Indian provocations

- STAFF REPORT

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Monday urged the United Nations (UN) to take notice of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statements against Pakistan. “The international community and the UN should take a serious notice of aggressive statements by Modi”, said the interior minister. He criticised war-mongering by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Uri attack and said that his speeches showed who wants peace and who wants war. “Have never witnessed a country’s leader using such language,” said Nisar.Nisar also said India has been using secret sources to destabilise Pakistan and create unrest. “India has been sponsoring and backing terrorism in Pakistan for the last many years,” said the interior minister. The federal interior minister cautioned the people and said Pakistan needs to be alert of intangible attacks by the enemies of Pakistan, as the “enemy will not always use conventional military might to harm the country”. “For several years Hindustan has been behind acts of terrorism in Pakistan. We should be alert in every street and this is a message for everyone, not just our security forces and politicians. We need to be united against terrorism,” said Nisar. Nisar urged the nation to be united and stand up to any threat Pakistan might face. “We need to show unity, this is not the time for politics and political statements,” said Nisar. He added that it is very important to show national unity with our actions, and asked the nation to play their role to control terrorism. “We need to make it clear that if anyone looks at us with an evil eye the whole nation will stand united against any aggression.”
