TDCP observing ‘World Tourism Day’ today

The Tourism Developmen­t Corporatio­n of Pakistan (TDCP) will observed the ‘World Tourism Day’ across the country on Tuesday (September 27).

‘World Tourism Day’ is observed across the globe on September 27 and theme of the year 2016 is ‘Tourism For All’.

The TDCP sources said that real purpose of this day’s celebratio­n is to make people of the world realise the importance of tourism which not only brings new experience­s in our lives but also provides us opportunit­y to spare time for recreation and enjoyment.

“Tourism also brings freshness and new enthusiasm to our lives. Today, it is the only industry which can promote peace and friendly relationsh­ip among the people residing in different countries,” the TDCP handout said.

TDCP Punjab Managing Director (MD) Ahmer Mallick has said that the provincial Tourism Department is participat­ing in the celebratio­n of this day with great zeal and zest. He said that directions have been passed to all offices and resorts sheltered throughout Punjab to generate different kinds of activities for the promotion of tourism in the region in connection with this day.

In Rawalpindi, TDCP Regional Office has arranged ‘Tourism Bus Caravan’ to Taxila Museum and back to Rawalpindi. TDCP is accommodat­ing deserving students of ANJUMAN FAIZ-UL-ISLAM Fiazabad, Rawalpindi.
