KATRINA KAIF TO LAUNCH HER OWN FASHION LABEL
Very few actors commit themselves fully to the art of acting without exploring other avenues. Most of the actors try to utilise their popularity and brand value into some other fields as well.
While a substantial number of actors launch their production houses, some buy sports-based teams, some create their own apps, several actors launch their own label. And the latest to join the bandwagon is Katrina Kaif.
As per a popular daily, Katrina will be starting her own fashion label. Talking about it, a source revealed, “Katrina has been toying with the idea for a long time. While not much is known at this stage, the project seems exciting. She has also been in discussions to tie up with big brands in different spheres, where she feels she will be able to create things that reflect her personality.”
Recently, the Rajneeti actor visited her hometown London to attend several business meetings on her new venture. As per reports, if all the things fall into the right places, Katrina will announce her revolutionary project soon. Rumour has it, the venture will not only be on the fashion line but will include other things too.
The source further added that Kat is taking a personal interest in developing this business as it is something she is very passionate about. They said, “She is already in talks with some of the best names in the business to launch the venture that she calls groundbreaking.” Talking about her partners who are very eager to join her in this venture, they further said, “Katrina is a regular on search lists and popularity charts, it speaks volumes for the kind of reach she has. So, her partners are confident about the project’s success.”
While there are not many such instances (actors getting into the retail business) in India, global stars such as Victoria Beckham, Kate Hudson, Mark Wahlberg, Jay Z and Madonna, among others, have successfully launched their retail projects.
When contacted about her retail venture, Katrina confirmed the news, saying, “It’s true that I am planning a label. But it’s too early to give out any details right now. I will make an announcement soon.”
