DG Rangers visits Sialkot sector, Waghah, appreciates skills of troops
Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Director General (DG) Major General Umar Farooq Burki visited Sialkot sectors on Tuesday where he was received by Sector Commander Brigadier Amjad Hussain.
The DG Rangers was given a comprehensive briefing on security and other operational or training aspects. During the visit, the director general commended the alertness, professional skills and high morale of Rangers troops performing the duties in the face of all odds, and expressed his satisfaction over the state of operational preparedness.
While talking to commanders, General Burki reiterated that Pakistan Rangers remains committed towards a secured working boundary and international border, as per their national aspirations.
Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) have the courage and resolve to face all challenges and give befitting response to the enemy, he added.
Meanwhile, Director General Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Major General Umar Farooq Burki also visited Joint Check Post Wagha and attended a comprehensive briefing by the Sector Commander Sutlaj Rangers Brigadier Shoukat Zahoor Abbasi.
Later, while talking to the troops at forward locations, the DG appreciated their professional skills and high morale. He said the valiant soldiers of Punjab Rangers are performing their duty in different parts of the country in maintenance of permanent peace along with other law enforcement agencies. Director General said that Rangers have a rich history of bravery and professionalism and added that, they, as custodians of sacred frontiers are a symbol of national pride and that their resilience and resolve against the odds is commendable.
