Court directs police to stop harassing citizen

Additional sessions’ judge Lahore Nasir Javed Rana has directed SHO Shadbagh to ensure that no coercive action is taken against Muhammad Bilal, son of Muhammad Ashraf, a resident of Shadbagh Lahore responding to a petition filed under section 22A and 22B of the CrPC. Petitioner named Muhammad Bilal filed a petition contending that Sajawal Khan and Sardar Imam are harassing him and his family with the consent of local police and pressurising them to know the whereabouts of his brother Muhammad Umar Farooq. Responding to the petition, the court ordered the police against harassing the petitioner and his family.
