Kissan Ittehdad president terms PAC evolutionary

Kissan Ittehad (KI) President Khalid Khokhar on Tuesday said that Punjab Agriculture Commission (PAC) formed by the Punjab government, was a revolutionary step towards the welfare of farming community and uplift of agriculture sector. Talking to APP, Khalid Khokhar said the PAC would help make the farmers prosper. He said the Punjab government in accordance with its promise, had given effective representation to farmers in the commission. He said the commission would be a milestone in the welfare of farmers and protection of the rights of small cultivators.

He said that historic Kissan Package would help increase in per acre yield as interest free loans were being given to small cultivators under the package. Khokhar said agriculture was the backbone of national economy and that package of billions of rupees had been given to farmers for the first time in the history of the country.
