TERRORISTS NOT OPERATING FROM PAKISTAN, SAYS NISAR

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that the enemy (terrorists) has been weakened but not completely eliminated and that is why we will have to remain alert as the war against terrorism is on and will continue. Addressing passing-out parade of police officers in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said fight against terrorism will be taken to its logical conclusion. He said if there was a security alert for possible attacks in Quetta, he will ask the provincial government and security agencies about it. He said if there was a security lapse, action should be taken against the responsibl­e. The minister stressed that the provincial government­s and security agencies will have to remain alert all the time. He said the enemy was trying to create chaos in the country to attain its nefarious designs. He said that law-enforcemen­t agencies were rendering huge sacrifices for the stability of the nation. The minister said the terrorist were operating from across the border. He said the remnant elements will be defeated at all costs. He said the world was acknowledg­ing the sacrifices of the Pakistan in war against terrorism. Nisar emphasized the need for greater coordinati­on amongst the law-enforcemen­t agencies to foil the designs of the enemies. He expressed grief over the attack on police training college in Quetta and questioned that why the security was not tightened despite the prevailing attack threats.
