Aafia case gravest injustice of our times, Fowzia Siddiqui in an open letter to Pope

-

Dr Aafia Siddiqui is a victim of discredited “war on terror”. She was targeted during the blind rage that followed the September 11, 2001 attacks, and according to the former US Attorney General Ramsey Aafia's plight is the worst case of individual injustice he had ever witnessed. These views were shared by Aafia Movement leader and noted neuro-physician Dr Fowzia Siddiqui in an open letter to Pope Francis. She said God require to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly upon Earth. She said in case of Aafia Siddiqui, there are literally millions of pages of fact and fiction woven into a picture of a person who has been raised to sainthood by supporters, and vilified as a demon by detractors. The truth is that Aafia is a mother of three, a brilliant woman whose passion was to bring education to her people, and she is my sister. She studied at some of the finest institutions in the world including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Brandeis in United States.
