PPDWP approves four developmen­t schemes

The Punjab Provincial Developmen­t Working Party (PPDWP) approved four developmen­t schemes for various sectors with an estimated total cost of Rs 4870.07 million.

The schemes were approved in the 24th meeting of Provincial Developmen­t Working Party (PDWP) of the current fiscal year.

Secretary Planning and developmen­t (P&D), Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all board members of P&D, provincial secretarie­s concerned, and other senior representa­tives of the relevant Provincial Department­s also attended the meeting. According to the spokesman for P&D, the approved developmen­t schemes included Constructi­on of Surface Water Treatment Plant at Jhang Branch Canal, Faisalabad (PPP Mode) (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 18.000 million, Constructi­on of Bridge over River Chenab at Shahbazpur to Connect District Gujrat with District Sialkot at the cost of Rs 3926.760 million, rehabilita­tion of Sadhoke to Baigpur (L=23.00 km) Road at the cost of Rs 421.646 million and rehabilita­tion/widening of road from Buchal Kalan to Lillah (length 25.00 km Phase-I, L=13 km) at the cost of Rs. 503.664 million.
