The cost of medicines

I would like to draw the authority’s attention towards a very serious issue that is the prices of medicines. Near Karachi’s wholesale pharmaceutical’s market is the old-city locality of Lyari, where, it hurts me to mention, the price of medicines is being increased by 50% – 75%. The price of medicines, including essential drugs, have increased manifold. On the other side, there are poor people who are not rich enough to buy expensive medicines. A simple policy, if implemented, could save lives, our nation’s health and billions of dollars in medical care. I suggest that the Government of Pakistan to take serious step for it. ADNAN DOST
