20 officers, instructors to get emergency training in Turkey
20 officers and instructors from the Punjab Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) department have been sent to Turkey to obtain training in emergency and disaster management, health care system, training, monitoring and other related mechanisms.
Punjab Emergency Services Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer gave a final briefing to the trainees before their departure on Saturday. He urged the officers to seek maximum value from this opportunity.
The DG appreciated the role of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, giving him credit for his continuous support and patronage.
The members of the departing delegation included DD HR Dr Foaad Shahzad Mirza, Provincial Monitoring Officer Mian Riffat Zia, Academy Registrar Dr Farhan Khalid, Rawalpindi DEO Dr Abdur Rehman, RY Khan DEO Dr Abdul Sattar, DD HQ Dr Azam, Attock DEO Mian Ashfaq, , EO IT Naeem Murtaza, Head of Training Muhammad Ahsan, Adjutant Dr Ali Imam Syed, Head of Medical Training Dr Ahtesham Mazhar, PRO Shahnaz Akhter, Lahore Operations EO Dr Rizwan Ahmad Ch, Okara DEO Zafar Iqbal Shaheen, Senior Instructor Training Muhammad Irfan Khan, Lead Instructor Nursing Mehboob Alam, Nursing Instructor Sajid Ali, Nursing Instructor Azeem Ashraf, Nursing Instructor Ashraf Ali Anjum and Instructor Saqib Ali.
After seeking training, these officers and instructors will further impart training among the rest of the rescuers when they return. Dr Naseer noted that the province’s Rescue 1122 service was contributing towards the health care system by providing emergency care to helpless victims since its inception in 2004.
