No traffic gridlock(s) in City, claims DIG traffic

- STAFF REPORT

The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Lahore Capt. (R) Syed Ahmed Mobin said that no call of traffic gridlock was received from any area of the city despite the protest demonstrations and ongoing development projects. Traffic congestion was seen on the canal road due to the construction work and the DIG Traffic immediately visited the area and monitored the traffic flow. On this occasion, he said, “We are serving citizens to the best; even in the conditions of ongoing construction works and processions in the city. Now the hourly distances can be covered in just minutes but still, we are on the run for further improvements”. He further informed that at Shimla Hill around 50 residents of Sharaqpur protested for the arrest of the crooks, however, Mughalpura DSP Circle Zia Ullah, Sector Incharge Ghari Shahu Iqbal Hameed and 10 more traffic wardens were deputed there to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
