PPCBL reviews disbursement of Rs2300mn for Rabi Crop 2013

Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Limited (PPCBL) has reviewed disbursement of Rs 2300 million for Rabi Crop 2012-13 to the small farmers up to January 2013. The bank reviewed the lending to the farmers in a meeting held here yesterday under the chairman ship of Punjab Secretary Cooperatives Dr Amir Ahmad.

It was also decided in the meeting that overdue loans would be recovered on priority basis. The meeting issuing the policy said that the bank would issue livestock loans and medium term finance to purchase tractors, agricultural equipments. The meeting decided that the growers would also be provided loans against the gold ornaments to meet the agricultural requirements.

Dr Amir Ahmad instructed the bank officials to recover cent percent loans pertaining to all loaning schemes and warned them of stern action for slackness in this regard.

Punjab Cooperative Registrar Abdullah Shahid and PPCBL President and CEO were present on the occasion.
