Sberbank held breakfast meeting

Sberbank held a breakfast meeting on a topic "Managing risks through the leadership" within the frames of the ninth annual meeting of International Discussion Club Valdai.
The participants of the discussion: Andrey Belousov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, Elvira Nabiulina, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Oleg Viyugin, Chairman of the Board, NAUFOR, Vladimir Mau, Head of the Academy of National Economy at the Government of RF, Alexander Oslon, President of the Public Opinion Foundation, Igor Bunin, President of Center of Political Technologies Foundation, Konstantin Remchukov, Editor- in- chief of Nezavisimaya Gazeta, The discussion was moderated by Herman Gref, Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of Russia.
The current world economy situation is defined by enormous quantity of cumula- tive risks which we haven't learnt how to manage yet, and lack of leadership, Herman Gref pointed out when opening the event.
Among risk factors requiring leadership are exhaustion of global growth model when competitive export-oriented countries grew due to the customer demand of less competitive countries.
Such customer demand was provided by loans of competitive countries. Before the discussion there was the interactive voting when the breakfast meeting participants defined the main risks for Russia for the following six years.
Almost a half of voters named ineffective system of state management and social institutions as a main risk that does not allow to implements reforms.
Valdai Club was established in 2004: Its name was taken after the place of the first conference. The Club's aim is strengthening and developing of the dialogue between Russian and foreign scientists, politicians and journalists, scientific analysis of political, economic and social processes in Russia and in the world.
