Rs0.5m computerised land system launched

Punjab Cooperative Housing Department has launched a new Rs 0.5 million computerized land transfer minimizing chances of frauds and tax evasion.
Inchrage Cooperative Housing Societies advisor to Punjab CM Raja Ishfaq Sarwar inaugurated the system of computerised land transfer at the Tech Club at the Tech Housing Society here Friday.
Secretary Housing Dr Amir and other senior officials were also present on the occasion. Raja Ishfaq said that initially the computerised land transfer system was being introduced in two hosing societies in Lahore and one in Rawalpindi. However, by the year end the computerised land transfer system would be functioning in 25 cooperative housing societies in Lahore and 10 in Rawalpindi.
Raja said that Punjab CM has been struggling to computrised all the records in the province to defeat the hazardous patwari system and this was the one great step towards the direction.
He said that the people have been facing problems due to the depreciated land transfer system but the new computrised transfer system would real serve the need of the owners of houses in Cooperative Housing Societies. Secretary Cooperative Dr Amir said that the new system would boost trust of the investors on the Cooperative housing society by minimizing the chances of frauds and fake transfers. Amir said that by the implementation of new system tax evasion would also be discouraged to significant level.
