Din­ers Club joins hand with Qan­tas to give mem­bers ex­cep­tional value

Din­ers Club has part­nered with Qan­tas to launch a new re­wards pay­ment card giv­ing mem­bers ex­cep­tional value on their pur­chases. Mem­bers also have ac­cess to a com­pan­ion World MasterCard on the Din­ers Club ac­count, which in­creases ac­cep­tance with mer­chants to over 34 mil­lion lo­ca­tions around the globe.

The Fre­quent Flyer Din­ers Club card with World MasterCard of­fers con­sumers some of the most com­pet­i­tive earn rates for Qan­tas Fre­quent Flyer points. For the first $60,000 spent each year on el­i­gi­ble pur­chases on the Din­ers Club card, the mem­ber earns a high 1.5 Qan­tas Fre­quent Flyer points per dol­lar and 1.25 points per dol­lar there­after. For the first $60,000 spent each year on el­i­gi­ble pur­chases on the World MasterCard, the mem­ber earns 1 Qan­tas Fre­quent Flyer point per dol­lar and 0.75 points per dol­lar there­after*.

The cards also of­fer travel ben­e­fits. The Din­ers Club card en­ti­tles mem­bers to en­try at more than 450 in­ter­na­tional air­port lounges as well as travel in­sur­ance and a dis­counted limou­sine ser­vice. The World MasterCard of­fers travel ben­e­fits such as VIP treat­ment at some of the best ho­tels, restau­rants, events and stores.

In Aus­tralia, Din­ers Club is part of the Citi fam­ily of com­pa­nies. Ju­lian Pot­ter, Head of Cards for Citibank, said the Fre­quent Flyer Din­ers Club card is de­signed to be the ‘hero’ Qan­tas of­fer for Citi in Aus­tralia. We be­lieve this new card is the mar­ket lead­ing pay­ment prod­uct for con­sumers who value the Qan­tas Fre­quent Flyer pro­gram and the ex­ten­sive travel ser­vices Din­ers Club of­fers.
