Mass will not forget the ‘gift’ of poverty given by ex-rulers: CM

-

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Zardari gang has shamelessly and ruthlessly filled its pockets with the money looted from the poor and brought the country to the verge of bankruptcy. He said that the worst policy of loot and plunder of national resources has destroyed national institutions.

He said that the former corrupt government of Peoples Party and its cronies have given the ‘gifts’ of poverty, unemployment and loadshedding to the masses which they will never be able to forget. He said that the day of accountability of Corruption Kings has approached and the people will give them such a punishment in forthcoming general elections that no one would dare to loot national exchequer in future. He said that if masses, through their votes, gave opportunity to Pakistan Muslim League-N, corruption will be eliminated and economic stability of the country will be ensured.

He was addressing separate meetings of leaders and officebearers of Pakistan Muslim League-N belonging to Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib and Lahore districts at Model Town, today. Senior leaders of PML-N were also present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that if “Baray Khan Sahib” who is raising the slogan of change sees the unprecedented development in Punjab during last five years, he will know the true meaning of revolution and change. He said that ten crore people of the Punjab are witness to the fact that PML-N government has brought about a visible change in their life and their living standard has improved.

He said that those raising empty slogans of revolution and change should know that Punjab has changed due to rapid and quality completion of development projects on the basis of merit and transparency. He said that if the people gave opportunity, a genuine change will be brought about throughout the country under the lead- ership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and supremacy of merit, law and justice will be ensured.

He said that corruption and poverty will be eradicated and equal opportunities will be available to everyone for progress. He said that Punjab government presented its three mega projects worth 36 billion rupees including metro bus project to Transparency International Pakistan for judging their transparency which when asked “Khan Sahib” for proof of his allegations, made him speechless and his propaganda about metro bus project also ended. He said that a party which has among its officebearers such elements as are members of Qabza mafia and have murder cases registered against them has no right to talk about change or revolution. He said that people want to know what kind of change can be introduced with such elements.

He said that it is Punjab government of PML-N which has brought a real change in the province and those who are making false claims should know that the process of change which has been started from Punjab will be extended to the whole country.

The Chief Minister said that corruption mafia has tremendously increased the problems of the masses during its five years rule and the loot and plunder of Zardari gang has spread darkness and despondency throughout the country. He said that the gulf between the rich and the poor has widened and the life of people has become miserable.

He said that it has become extremely difficult for the poor to make both ends meet. He said that the politics of loot and plunder of the former corrupt government of Peoples Party will be buried by the masses in the forthcoming general elections. He said that PML-N considers power and politics as a means of service to the people and that is why it has set new records of public service. He said that the country needs such a bold and kindhearted leader which can steer the country out of crises.
