IMF programs helping in economic growth: Zubair

Chairman Privatization Commission Zubair Thursday said the government was striving hard for economic revival of the country and difficult decisions were being taken in this regard. Talking to a private Television channel, he said all the programmes being run under International Monetary Fund (IMF) were aimed at enhancing economic growth of the country. Zubair replying to a question said that the marketing of Pakistan Steel Mills and Pakistan International Airline (PIA) was a big challenge, adding the government would ensure transparency in the privatization process. He informed the privatization of both public entities would be made in the March next year. Replying to another question regarding increasing rates of electricity, he said 65 percent of the people who were consuming less electricity units were not affected by the increase.
