ECP issues guidelines for awarding party tickets in LG elections

ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued guidelines to the heads of political parties for awarding party tickets to candidates in the local government (LG) elections. The candidates will have to submit party tickets at the time of scrutiny of nomination papers. In order to facilitate political parties and candidates, the commission authorized the heads of political parties to nominate an office bearer at the divisional level for issuance of tickets.
