HCL ap­points Eeden as dig­i­tal unit head

NEW DELHI: HCL Tech­nolo­gies Ltd, In­dia's fourth largest soft­ware ex­porter, on Thurs­day said it has ap­pointed Jaco Van Eeden as ex­ec­u­tive vice-pres­i­dent to lead HCL's Be­yond Dig­i­tal busi­ness unit, which de­liv­ers dig­i­tal­iza­tion For­tune500 and Global100 com­pa­nies.

As the head of this busi­ness, he will lead the unit's sales, de­liv­ery and prod­uct teams to fur­ther strengthen HCL's go-tomar­ket propo­si­tions in the En­ter­prise Dig­i­tal Trans­for­ma­tion and In­no­va­tion space, the com­pany said. Eeden has over two decades of ex­pe­ri­ence in re­tail, whole­sale dis­tri­bu­tion, in­dus­trial prod­ucts, hi-tech, man­u­fac­tur­ing, oil and gas and public sec­tor in­dus­tries. He spe­cial­izes in in­ter­na­tional IT strat­egy and ERP (en­ter­prise re­source plan­ning) sys­tem im­ple­men­ta­tion.

"HCL has long held the view that En­ter­prises need to de­vise their Dig­i­tal­iza­tion strat­egy with a com­bi­na­tion of sprint and marathon ap­proach which lays equal em­pha­sis on point so­lu­tions as well as multi-lay­ered trans­for­ma­tion pro­grams," said Anant Gupta, pres­i­dent and chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer, HCL Tech­nolo­gies. "Jaco's rich ex­pe­ri­ence of hav­ing de­liv­ered largescale Dig­i­tal Pro­grams for Global 1000 cor­po­ra­tions and his un­der­stand­ing of the en­abling tech­nol­ogy space give him the unique abil­ity to ex­e­cute this ap­proach for our clients and po­si­tion HCL as a Dig­i­tal Trans­for­ma­tion Part­ner of choice," he added.
