UBL dis­trib­utes in­sur­ance claim cheques among wid­ows

KARACHI: As an em­ployer, United Bank Lim­ited (UBL) has al­ways worked to­wards pro­vid­ing the best pos­si­ble com­pen­sa­tion and ben­e­fit pack­ages to all its em­ploy­ees, whether per­ma­nent or con­trac­tual. In this re­gard, as an in­cen­tive scheme, UBL in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the State Life In­sur­ance Cor­po­ra­tion of Pak­istan (SLICO) pro­vides free life in­sur­ance to all the se­cu­rity guards the bank em­ploys Pak­istan-wide. This scheme pro­vides ben­e­fits to all guards or their next of kin for on the job death or in­jury. Un­der this scheme, re­cently UBL and SLICO pre­sented death claim cheques to wid­ows of three guards who lost their lives while on the job. An ob­ser­vance was held in their re­gard at the UBL Head-Of­fice in Karachi, where in­sur­ance cheques were passed on to the re­spec­tive wid­ows of the de­ceased se­cu­rity guards. Aameer Karachi­walla, COO-UBL, Mr. Zia Ijaz, Group Ex­ec­u­tive-Re­tail Bank­ing UBL, Mr. Ab­dul Jab­bar Junejo, Group Head Cus­tomer Ser­vices UBL, Mr. Ad­nan Sami­ul­lah Khan, Zonal Head (G&P) State Life In­sur­ance Karachi, Mr. Ai­jaz Yousuf Soomro, Man­ager Mar­ket­ing (G&P)SLIC, Mr. Mian Muham­mad Ar­shad, Sales Man­ager (I.L) State Life In­sur­ance, She­hzada Humayoon Sultan (Oillinks Se­cu­rity), Mr. Mu­fas­sir Atta Ma­lik (Su­pe­rior Se­cu­rity Guards) and Ma­jor (R) Iftikhar Alam (Pak Se­cu­rity) were among ex­ec­u­tives present at the oc­ca­sion.
