UBL distributes insurance claim cheques among widows
KARACHI: As an employer, United Bank Limited (UBL) has always worked towards providing the best possible compensation and benefit packages to all its employees, whether permanent or contractual. In this regard, as an incentive scheme, UBL in collaboration with the State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan (SLICO) provides free life insurance to all the security guards the bank employs Pakistan-wide. This scheme provides benefits to all guards or their next of kin for on the job death or injury. Under this scheme, recently UBL and SLICO presented death claim cheques to widows of three guards who lost their lives while on the job. An observance was held in their regard at the UBL Head-Office in Karachi, where insurance cheques were passed on to the respective widows of the deceased security guards. Aameer Karachiwalla, COO-UBL, Mr. Zia Ijaz, Group Executive-Retail Banking UBL, Mr. Abdul Jabbar Junejo, Group Head Customer Services UBL, Mr. Adnan Samiullah Khan, Zonal Head (G&P) State Life Insurance Karachi, Mr. Aijaz Yousuf Soomro, Manager Marketing (G&P)SLIC, Mr. Mian Muhammad Arshad, Sales Manager (I.L) State Life Insurance, Shehzada Humayoon Sultan (Oillinks Security), Mr. Mufassir Atta Malik (Superior Security Guards) and Major (R) Iftikhar Alam (Pak Security) were among executives present at the occasion.
