No shortage of wheat in KP: Minister
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food Haji Qalandar Khan Lodhi on Wednesday said there is more than enough wheat in the stock in the province and all the mills are getting their share on equal basis and as per quota. Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA), he said due to successful strategy of the department the Wheat production and storage have improved, adding that flour is available at uniform rate across the province.
He said that the government has increased the quota for all flour mills from stock and also taking measures to get amount flour mills owner through designated branches of banks. Speaking on the occasion, the delegation of PFMA apprised the minister about the challenges being faced by the industry and suggestions in this regard.
