MCB Bank bags SAFA Award

MCB Bank Ltd, Pakistan's leading private sector bank, was awarded the SAFA Best Presented Annual Report 2014 in the category of private sector banks at the SAFA Conference 2016. The Award was presented to President MCB, Imran Maqbool by the Federal Minister for Finance Mr. Mohammad Ishaq Dar in recognitio­n of the bank's excellence in financial reporting, management best practices and corporate governance disclosure­s.

MCB Bank Ltd has also received numerous other accolades in the past, including "Best Bank in Pakistan 2015" award from Finance Asia and "Most Stable Bank of the Year 2014" by CFA.

ICAP, the premier regulatory body for the developmen­t and regulation of Accountanc­y profession in Pakistan hosted SAFA (South Asian Federation of Accountant­s) conference in Lahore.

The conference, entitled South Asia: Corridor of opportunit­ies encompasse­d one and a half days of learning, networking and celebratio­ns. The conference was attended by high profile local and internatio­nal speakers comprising of reputable businessme­n, economists and senior Chartered Accountant­s.
