Lahore police showed excellent results during the month of January 2016, by arresting 189 accused of 73 gangs here in, Lahore and 203 cases have also been traced against them while more than 87 lacs recovered from the gang's members, 1400 POs & CAs also arrested in the same period.

According to details, DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf directed Police officers for the implementation of National Action Plan and to utilize their full energies to curb the crime in the city and arrest the

criminals involved in different unlawful activities. On his directions, all divisional SPs increased their efforts against criminals and showed excellent results during the month of January 2016 by arresting 189 criminals of 73 gangs who were involved in different heinous crimes, 297 POs, 1103 CAs included A&B categories were also arrested.

During the January, 417 cases registered against 427 accused on having illicit weapon and police also recovered 46-rifles, 43-guns, 529revolvers & pistol's and 30014 bullets from their possession.

During the action against drug dealers, 615 cases were registered and 620 culprits were arrested and 34kg319grm heroine, 150kg 921grm chars, 150gm opium and 6765 bottles of liquor recovered from them. Moreover, 108 cases were registered against gamblers and 424 accused arrested and also recovered betting amount more than 03 lacs 64 Thousands. In the same period during the special crackdown 650 cases were registered against 1204 culprits on the violation of law.
