Belarus Minister for Industry calls on Shehbaz Sharif
Minister for Industry of Republican Belarus Vitaly Mikhailovich Vovk called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here on Wednesday.
Promotion of cooperation in agriculture, industries, mining and forest sectors and enhancing trade and economic relations between Pakistan and Belarus were discussed during the meeting.
It was agreed to increase cooperation in agriculture, industries, mining and forest sectors between Punjab and Belarus whereas prospects of barter trade system were also discussed on this occasion.
Minister for Industry of Belarus also formally invited Shehbaz Sharif to visit Belarus. Talking to Minister for Industry of Belarus, the Chief Minister said that best friendly relations existed between Pakistan and Belarus.
He said that considerable progress had been made for promoting cooperation in various sectors between Pakistan and Belarus during one and a half years, adding that relations could be converted into economic cooperation through maximum exchange of business delegations of both the countries.
Shehbaz said that all out facilities would be provided to the investors of Belarus in Punjab so that trade and economic relations could be further promot- ed. The meeting agreed to constitute joint working group for the promotion of trade and economic relations between the Punjab government and Belarus.
Minister for Industry of Republican Belarus Vitaly Mikhailovich Vovk said that Belarus would promote relations with the Punjab government on sound footings and its investors were interested to make investment in Pakistan particularly in Punjab. He said that they would set up tractor assembling plant near Lahore and its foundation stone would soon be laid. Meanwhile, a delegation of Small & Medium Enterprises Development Organization (S&MEDO) of Turkey led by President KOSGEB Recep Bicer called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here on Wednesday.
