FPCCI strongly con­demn La­hore blast

ISLAMABAD: The Fed­er­a­tion of Pak­istan Cham­bers of Com­merce and In­dus­try (FPCCI) Pres­i­dent Ab­dul Rauf Alam on Mon­day strongly con­demn act of ter­ror La­hore in which dozens of in­no­cent were tar­geted.

A sui­cide blast at a crowded park killed around 72 in­clud­ing chil­dren and women, while over 300 peo­ple were wounded which is yet an­other at­tack against masses by coward crim­i­nals, he said. Speak­ing to a meet­ing held to con­dole the tragedy, he ex­pressed deep shock, sor­row and grief over the loss of in­no­cent and pre­cious lives and of­fered con­do­lences to the grieved fam­i­lies. Ab­dul Rauf Alam said that Pak­istan is in a state of war fac­ing threats on its ex­ter­nal as well as in­ter­nal front and that there is a need to unite against these enemies of hu­man­ity.

Such at­tacks would not de­ter the na­tional re­solve to elim­i­nate the wave of mil­i­tancy and stamp out ter­ror­ism, the en­tire na­tion had been grieved by the tragedy, he added.

He said that the na­tion sup­ports gov­ern­ment and army and was united to root out ter­ror­ism from the coun­try as col­lec­tive ef­forts were re­quired to make Pak­istan pros­per­ous and it was time to prove pa­tri­o­tism. Pres­i­dent FPCCI said that ter­ror­ism war was ac­tu­ally be­tween the hu­man­ity and cru­elty adding that those who kill in­no­cent hu­mans due to their mis­placed ide­ol­ogy were an­i­mals. He de­manded best avail­able med­i­cal treat­ment and swift com­pen­sa­tion to the vic­tims and en­hanced se­cu­rity in across the stretch of the coun­try in­clud­ing the fed­eral cap­i­tal.
