Businessmen welcome Prime Minister's resolve to fight terrorism
Traders and business community here Tuesday welcomed the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's resolve to fight terrorism till complete elimination of menace. Expressing their views on the Prime Minister's televised address to the nation, the businessmen and industrialists called for maintaining constant and effective liaison among all the departments concerned.
They assured that traders and business community would stand shoulder to shoulder with the government in all its efforts for elimination of terrorism. Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Sheikh Muhammad Arshad, Senior Vice President Almas Haider and Vice President Nasir Saeed told APP that entire business community stood firm along with the government and the whole nation in their efforts for uprooting the twin monsters of terrorism and extremism. Welcoming the PM's determination to flush out terrorists and bring their facilitators to justice, the LCCI office-bearers expressed the resolve that business and trade community would not desist from their part to play in the sacred cause of saving the humanity from the brutal and nasty terrorists.
They also expressed their profound grief and sorrow over the loss of innocent lives in the recent barbaric incident of Gulshan- e- Iqbal Park, adding that coward acts of terrorists could not undermine Pakistanis determination for purging the motherland of terrorists.
While, Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front ( PIAF) Chairman Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Senior Vice Chairman Tanveer Ahmed Sufi and Vice Chairman Khawaja Shahzeb Akram were of the view that Prime Minister's address to the nation gave new courage to the masses for elimination of terrorism and extremism. The PIAF office-bearers said the government had already been making hectic efforts to curb all kinds of terrorism and terrorists from the country.
They added that Karachi operation and Zarb-e-Azb had ensured landmark achievements in knocking down the terrorists and their facilitators, however, a lot had yet to be done for complete elimination of this menace. They said that traders and industrialist community would make every endeavor and play their due role in supporting the government and Armed Forces' efforts aimed at ensuring total peace in the country.
