Govt aims at Balochistan development: President
ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that the government is committed to bring Balochistan province at par with other regions of the country and in this regard is carrying out development work to improve the living standard of the people of the province.
The President said this while talking to Speaker Balochistan Assembly Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Wednesday.
Expressing satisfaction on improved law and order situation in the province, the President said that new avenues of progress and prosperity in Balochistan will open up after the operationalization of Gwadar port and completion of ChinaPakistan Economic Corridor.
The President stated that revival of business and trade activities in Balochistan would generate employment opportunities and put the province on the path to progress. The President appreciated the role of Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani as Speaker Balochistan Assembly in further strengthening the democratic dispensation in the province.
