CM Buzdar announces to regularise 3400 employees of Rescue 1122

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday said that those who have been employed for three years will be regularize­d in the next two weeks.

Addressing a ceremony in Lahore on Mondayon the occasion of completion of fifteen years of rescue 1122, he announced to restore 50 percent of the rescue s emergency allowance. The chief minister said that Punjab Emergency Service is a dynamic institutio­n which has been rendering effective relief and rescue activities for the past fifteen years, adding that all possible resources will be spent for the developmen­t of the rescue 1122 and welfare of its staff.

SM Buzdar said that Rescue 1122 is the only rescue organizati­on, registered by the United Nation which is a matter of honour, adding that the work circle of the rescue 1122 will be expanded to every tehsil in the near future.

"Rescue 1122 brilliantl­y maintained its record of an average seven-minute response in case of any emergency," he said.

Sardar Usman Buzdar said: "The Punjab Emergency Service has launched its motorcycle emergency service to rescue victims at remote and far-flung areas with a four-minute response time. He said that seventy five thousands persons have been rescued so far by the rescue 1122 while precious goods worth billions of rupees were saved from fire by its firemen." The chief minister gave the credit of making rescue 1122 a dynamic organizati­on to its founding Director General, Dr Rizwan Naseer.
