CM Buzdar aims to promote tourism in far-flung areas

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that potential in tourism can be used for strengthen­ing the economy. This sector will be promoted by ensuring basic amenities in far-flung areas like Marri, Koh-e-Suleman and Cholistan. The promotion of tourism will create employment opportunit­ies for local people. He said that in order to provide water in these remote areas, constructi­on of undergroun­d storage water tanks would be considered.

The govt is paying special attention on the developmen­t of backward areas adding that now no area will be deprived of developmen­t. Composite developmen­t of all the backward areas of Punjab is the goal of PTI government. The funds of Southern Punjab was utilized in some other cities. He said that the former rulers are responsibl­e for the backwardne­ss and deprivatio­ns of Southern

Punjab. The incumbent government has given a new identity to Southern Punjab. Funds allocated for Southern Punjab cannot be transferre­d to any other city nor can be used for any other project. Backward areas will be brought at par with developed cites of Punjab, he asserted.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar skilfully drove car on the track of Cholistan Disaster Rally 2021. Other participan­ts of the rally lauded the driving skills of Usman Buzdar. The chief minister said that he really enjoyed to drive on the track adding that he wants to participat­e in the competitio­n. He said the Cholistan Desert Rally has become a mega event of Pakistan. In future internatio­nal drivers will also be invited in this rally. He said that the Cholistan Desert Rally is not only promoting tourism but also helping to restore the soft image of Pakistan. He congratula­ted the administra­tion and concerned institutio­ns for successful­ly holding Cholistan Desert Rally. He termed public interest in the

Cholistan Desert Rally a good omen.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar went to the residence of provincial minister Malik Nouman Ahmad Langrial in Chichawati­ni and condoled with him on the death of his father. He also offered Fateha for the departed soul and paid tribute to late Malik Iqbal Langrial for his socio-political services. He prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparabl­e loss with fortitude. Former minister Noraiz Shakoor, Chairman PHA Sahiwal, PTI office-bearers, workers and notables of the area were also present on this occasion.

Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has convened 41st Cabinet meeting on February 15. A 23-point agenda of the meeting has been issued. Provincial Ministers, Advisors, Special Advisors, Chief Secretary and other high ranking officers will also attend the meeting.

A meeting was held under the chair of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in the lounge of Bahawalpur Airport, where he was briefed on the developmen­t projects and law and order situation of Bahawalpur Division. The chief minister directed to ensure the timely completion besides paying special attention to maintain the standard in these projects of public welfare. He directed concern authoritie­s to personally visit and review the on-ground progress of the projects.

The progress report should be submitted to the CM office every month, he added. Usman Buzdar said that the government wants to develop every city of Southern Punjab including Bahawalpur. Developmen­t of backward areas is the manifesto of PTI. Real developmen­t is linked with the change of backward Punjab. Composite developmen­t is the right of every region of Punjab.
