BoP opens drive-thru vaccinatio­n facility

LAHORE: After the successful launch of drive-thru Covid-19 vaccinatio­n facility in Lahore, The Bank of Punjab, in collaborat­ion with the Health Department and Capital Developmen­t Authority and District Administra­tion Islamabad, has taken another initiative to establish another drive-thru vaccinatio­n facility at the F-9 Park Islamabad for the benefit of the citizens of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and surroundin­g areas.

The vaccinatio­n facility was inaugurate­d jointly by Amir Khawaja, Secretary Health Department, Government of Pakistan, and Zafar Masud, President & CEO of The Bank of Punjab in line with the Corporate Social Responsibi­lity strategy of the Bank, which focuses on taking initiative­s for the benefit and wellbeing of our society.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Zafar Masud, President/CEO said, "it is our moral and social and business responsibi­lity to lend a hand to provincial and national the Government­s of Pakistan to supplement their wards efforts being put forth by them to get the whole Pakistani nation vaccinated against the deadly virus.

The Bank of Punjab has already establishe­d vaccinatio­n centers at its premises in different cities for getting the staff and their families vaccinated. Further, drive- through vaccinatio­n facility in Lahore has been a great success and has gathered praise from the general public regarding its usefulness and would like to replicate these experience­s in other parts of the Country; today's effort is in that direction only.

The vaccinatio­n facility will be open for all citizens from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. from Monday to Saturday (Sunday will be closed). The ceremony was attended by officials of the federal government, health officials of the federal capital, senior officials of The Bank of Punjab, as well as members of the print and electronic media.
